NUTRITION

The word Diet comes from the Greek Language and it actually means, ‘Way of Life’. So what the word Diet translates to is your ‘Lifestyle’.

Your Nutrition can only do so much, there needs to be some form of relaxation on a consistent basis. Then on top of that, there needs to be regular movement. These 3 things cannot be bypassed and if you do you’ll only be behind the 8 ball and stuck playing catch up later on in life.

 

THE WORD DIET TRANSLATES TO YOUR LIFESTYLE

 

Nutrition is absolutely necessary for optimum health. You cannot bypass clean whole food Nutrition and sufficient hydration every single day. Optimising your hormonal response through Food Types, Food Amounts and your Meal Timing takes your Nutrition to a new level you’ve never felt before. Balanced blood sugar levels are how you make the most of every experience and be your best every single day.

 

HERE IS HOW THE 50/50 RULE WORKS

Anyone who is eating a diet with less than 50% of meals, from clean whole food sources is more than likely declining in health.

Anyone who is eating a diet with more than 50% of meals, from clean whole foods is more than likely increasing their health and wellbeing.

 

 

You want to be in the 80 to 90% and more if you can from clean whole foods. Do this and you’re more than likely ahead of the game in regards to Nutrition increasing your Health and Wellbeing. You definitely don’t want to be any less than 80%…

 

MEDITATION

 

Out of anything I have done in my life, this has probably had the biggest impact on me. Clean Nutrition got me started for sure and will get you started, but when I implemented a daily meditation practise this is where I could finally delve into my subconscious. Things really stepped up from there.

 

YOUR SUBCONSCIOUS CONTROLS YOUR PERCEPTION, ACTIONS AND DESIRES

 

You don’t need to be a Zen Master to Meditate. Unfortunately, the way Meditation is in a sense, marketed, it usually steers people away as its spiritual and Zen-like stigma around it.

 

THINK OF MEDITATION AS A STATE OF DOING AND NOT A STATE OF BEING

 

Don’t place any expectation on a result from your meditation, you just do it. Nothing needs to happen, but you doing the Meditation. You do it on a daily basis, there will be things that pop up that will astonish you, both during the meditation and then in the outside world.

 

MEDITATE WITHOUT AN EXPECTATION

 

People think their minds are too busy to Meditate, which is actually why you need to meditate more often. It is ok if thoughts enter, you just let them pass like cars driving by your house. You hear the car coming and then it drives past. Your thoughts come in and they will pass, just let them. The more often you consistently practise this and bring your focus back to the breath, the more you’ll notice a change.

 

 

ACTIVE LIFESTYLE

 

If you’re trying to motivate yourself to be active, then you’re trying to be active in the areas, environments and disciplines that are not in line with who you really are, what you love and your personal values.

 

THE ONLY WAY FOR AN ACTIVE LIFESTYLE TO BE SUSTAINABLE IS IF YOU LOVE TO DO IT

 

Here’s the secret… Be active in the areas, environments and disciplines you love to be in and around. This comes down to aligning your Active Lifestyle with your personal values. Any other way is just being active for someone else, what they think is right or what the trends and magazines say at the time. Pushing yourself never lasts, you need to be pulled into it and this is done through aligning your Active Lifestyle with your personal values.

 

Here is a layout of your 3 areas – Nutrition, Meditation & Active Lifestyles

 

NUTRITION:

You want your daily meals to be no less than 80% from clean whole foods and with sufficient hydration from clean water. You also want to optimise your Food Types, Food Amounts and Meal Timing.

 

MEDITATION:

You want to be Meditating for at least 10 min a day, but try and get to 20 to 30 min in one sitting. Find the right time for you but early in the morning sets your day up, but see what works for you. Try the AM & PM and also try both times on the same day and see what works for you.

 

ACTIVE LIFESTYLES:

Write down the active things in your life that you love to do or did love to do before. This could be anything from dancing to skateboarding, from bushwalking to climbing trees. I’m serious here, do what makes you feel alive and amps you up to get moving as this will require no motivation to go and do.

 

Implementing an Eat, Think & Live Clean strategy to your lifestyle is amazing. Eat right, Meditate and Move your Body, do this and your ahead of the game and fine tune things as you move on. But get the fundamentals right first 🙂
