Weight loss and short term goals.

First of all, I want to congratulate anyone who has taken a step towards better health and tried the different products and systems out there, it shows that you want to make a positive change, so well done!

If you did not see a 'sustainable result' then you are reading the right post. Getting the body you want, reaching your health targets, is done through how you construct your smoothies and meals. Your results should be sustained through your daily lifestyle.

If you were using a Meal Replacement Product in the past, what was the plan once you got to your goal weight? The issue was the short term solution without the long term plan that produces the result you need. Optimising your lifestyle.

What happens is you would have stopped the Meal Replacement and then proceeded to attempt to eat better without any guidance from the product company whatsoever. Leaving you to depend on a certain product (rather than a clean lifestyle adapted to you) just to keep the weight off.

A supplement should enhance your lifestyle, not create restrictions. Whatever product or system you use and follow, it needs to be something you can implement for the rest of your life.

Reaching your Goal Weight is about balancing Blood Sugar Levels.

Insulin is the Hormone we need, but we don't need the spikes which are caused by high carb meals with little to no protein. You can eat healthily, but if your portions of Protein, Carbs and Fat are unbalanced for your type, then you can still have a negative effect. Eating healthy isn't just throwing a heap of food on your plate, it helps but it's not all of it.

I am sure you have eaten a huge carbohydrate dense meal before with little to no protein (spaghetti bolognese) and felt an energy low right? Then 20-40 min later you had a craving for more food, sweets even though you're still feeling full?

This is a drop in blood sugar due to a spike of Insulin. You had too many carbs on your plate, very little protein which resulted in the fatigue after your meal. So your Food Amounts is paramount to optimising your hormonal response from your meals.

Staying on the hormonal roller coaster from randomised eating is not a pleasant place to live in. You get ups and downs, brain fog, fatigue, mental blocks, low motivation and cravings throughout your 24 hours.

You can sort this out yourself with a little trial and error. Say you're making a smoothie and you put in 2 bananas, 1 apple, a serve of protein and some nuts. If you felt fatigued after the smoothie, look at 3 things as below;

  1. Food Types
  2. Food Amounts
  3. Meal Timing

I can tell you now that it will be 1 of these 3 things, creating your fatigue. So change things up a little the next day. Cut your Carbs in half down to 1 Banana, keep your protein and fat the same and see how you feel. If you feel more energised, satisfied and better mental clarity than you have got your Food Amounts and Meal Timing correct. You now are feeling the effects of an improved blood sugar level than what you had the previous day.

Now just work on fine tuning your Food Types.

It doesn't stop there, you can fine tune things even more. Swap out the types of Macronutrients (Protein, Carbohydrates, Fats) for other types and see if you feel even better. Once you get to the food types and amounts you feel great from, put these in the memory bank and use them more often.

Meal Timing?

Meal Timing can change the way you feel after a meal. Eat meals too close to one another, you will feel too full, bloated and lethargic. Eat your meals too far apart, you will be so starving by the time you eat, that you will end up overeating. So you need to find that happy place in between those 2 places. Fine tune this and you have a really good individual diet to move forward with.

  1. Food Types
  2. Food Amounts
  3. Meal Timing

All 3 are just as important as each other, get it right and the rewards are amazing. If I could put what I feel each and every day into a pill to give people the opportunity to feel what a clean lifestyle provides, it would be the fastest growing supplement on the planet. Everyone would want it.

All you need is to find what works for your type, lifestyle and goals and keep fine tuning it as time goes on, making it better, learning from the day before and building those strong daily habits.

You can make a very large positive change in your diet just by including a Nutrient Dense Smoothie each day. Begin your day right and you will be performing better during the day and be sleeping better at night.

Eating clean is one of the best things you can do for your life, personal growth and overall health.

Eat, Think & Live Clean.

Kind Regards
