A very simple calculation can tell you if you're diet is serving you well or not. It's very important that most or more than 80% of your meals and snack are from clean whole foods.

There are loads of benefits whole foods give us, but what is classed as a whole food? Well it's anything that is whole and it it's rawest form. For example, you can eat pumpkin or processed pumpkin soup in a can? Which is whole? It's the one without the barcode.

What about meats? You don't want to be eating processed meats with added ingredients in them, if you're going to eat Turkey or Chicken, don't buy processed deli turkey or chicken, just go and buy the real thing.

It is anything that is still real and in its rawest form. Even things like Goji berries, these are dried but it is still a clean whole food, there has been nothing added to it. Or Quinoa, yes it is in a packet, but it is still Quinoa in a raw form. You want to ensure your household is filled with more clean whole foods than not and guess what? It's actually cheaper to eat this way and you'll be increasing the health and wellbeing of the household as well.

Even when you buy sauces, steer away from the processed sauces full of sugars and artificial ingredients. Start to buy and use Herbs and Spices, Himalayan, Rock or Sea Salt. Use ingredients in their rawest form you can purchase them in. This is a much cleaner and healthier way to make a positive change in your diet.

It's is never too late to improve your diet if you haven't already. The time is now, today, this moment and not a day later. All it takes is a small step and here is a process to take that you can implement right away!

  1. Wake up and drink 250ml of Water - feel free to add lemon juice or 1 scoop of 5 Greens.
  2. For Meal 1, make a Protein Smoothie and add in a Green Vegetable - handful of Spinach or 1/3 cucumber or 100g Celery.
  3. Meal 2 eat a clean whole food salad with your choice of Protein (Chicken, Turkey, Fish, Eggs) size of your palm. Add in more Green leafy Vegetables, a cap full of Olive Oil and sweeten it up with grated apple, sliced peaches or sliced Mango.
  4. Mid Afternoon drink 1 glass of 5 Greens in 250ml of Water or have a cup of Green or Herbal Tea.
  5. Meal 3 at dinner time - choose your favourite protein, cook up some roast vegetables, add some herbs and spices and add half an Avocado to your plate.
